The AURA color range

Aura EPDM offers a range of 24 standard colours. The Contemporaries range inorganic has long colour stability compared to the Radiants range, which is organic. Therefore, we recommend using an Aliphatic binder with our Radiants range.

These colours are always kept in stock and ready to ship at a moment’s notice. Custom colours can be designed and produced precisely according to customers’ requirements.

Typical fields of application for AURA EPDM granules

EPDM type of rubber has developed among the most common safety forms of surfacing for outdoor areas and playgrounds. This is mainly used due to rubber granules’ effectiveness and durability in reducing injury risk to the child at play.

It also provides cushioned landing in case a child gets fallen through height. This flooring option is quite kind while running and jumping. Also, this is used as it is slip-resistant, porous and can be maintained without a lot of hassle.

The EPDM rubber surfacing is commonly installed in two layers: a wearing course and a shock pad. The first consists of huge rubber chunks called SBR (styrene-butadiene rubber) and the section for providing absorbency of impact. This is available in other thicknesses. The second also involves small granule EPDM for giving strength to the surface. The two layers are bound together through a polyurethane resin binder that hardens to form the final playground surface for safety.
